A quick note. I have been watching with increasing hope the Wall Street Protests. Maybe a good tipping point is close. There is no doubt in my mind that standard economic theory is one of the root problems, leading to political impasse and inequalities. Fortunately the the ground work for other approaches has been done. The hope is that at last these are reaching mainstream political discussion.
This is one thoughtful approach. It is simple, fair, addresses inequalities and externalities. (If externalities is miss spelled it is not in the dictionary; odd! It is clearly defined in any introductory environmental science text).
