Why Curiosity Doesn’t Kill the Cat | Psychology Today

This link leads to a  thoughtful article on curiosity.  In my view, curiosity leads to beauty and from there it is a short step to moving toward sustainability.  I am intensely curious; mostly that brings me joy.

Why Curiosity Doesn’t Kill the Cat | Psychology Today.

Another thought; In response to this article I  asked my daughter what she is curious about.  She chanted the saying, “Curiosity killed the cat.”  My reply that curiosity is a survival strategy and fun seemed weak.  So… my curiosity lead me to BrainyQuote.com.  Here are three quotes, from many, that I enjoy:

“Curiosity is one of the great secrets of happiness”.  Victor Hugo.

“Curiosity is the lust of the mind”.  Thomas Hobbes.

My particular favorite is, “Curiosity killed the cat, but where human beings are concerned, the only thing a healthy curiosity can kill is ignorance”.  Harry Lorayne.
