Sciblogs | Women in science – yesterday, today and tomorrow

I think this post on Science Blogs New Zealand is spot on. Listen to the videos and pass them on.

Like the author, and speakers, I understand that science (and particularly sustainability science) will work when everyone participates. Including all the voices in conversations improves outcomes.

My dream is of a future where we all work together. A future where the stories of cooperation leading to our success are told frequently and well. After all, Homo sapiens is a generalist: with no particular strength, speed or stamina; we succeed when we innovate, cooperate and work together. Language and group cooperation is key to this. And women and men working together.

Thanks, Dr Victoria Metcalf.
