The photograph is my son’s gaming computer. It is “state of the art” 80% capability computer. That is; the best computer he could build without overclocking and water cooling. His project over the summer break and his first computer build. A “rite of passage” for a young man.
Now, I am impressed; a project like this takes time, planning, persistence and smarts to achieve; and an age of just under 16 years. Also, a project like this takes a community. Karl put together a community of friends who advised him, including watching live streams of other gamers building their computers. Additionally, the success of the project is because of a much wider community, his: family; teachers; the hardware and software manufacturers, companies and designers; our friend a computer technician… All of us who have contributed to his skills and knowledge.
As always, individual success is on the shoulders of a community.
