APOD: 2011 October 23 – Jupiter’s Clouds from New Horizons.

We are a curious species. That is one reason for our success. Clearly curiosity leads science and art, and I would suggest sport and business too. By that I mean curiosity: to see how far we can go, what we can achieve and how many we can help, is a central motivation for the business and sports person. This blog focuses on sustainability and art because those are my central interests; however, we all need to remember that business is an enormously important mechanism to get things done. There is no fundamental conflict between business and sustainability. The perceived problems stem from a lack of vision and understanding by many.

The photograph is one of NASA’s. Remember without the organizing and technical action of the business subcontractors, and the project management ability of NASA’s managers and engineers this image would not exist. Science, engineering, project managers and business people all made this.
