Writing Our Way Home blog: small stones

Writing Our Way Home blog: small stones.

I am reading, “How to Write your way home”  and “A year in questions” both by Fiona Robyn.  The website link is to her website and her most powerful exercise, writing small stones.

These books reminded me to respond to my home,  not only sources from the world-wide-web; so-

This morning I opened the back door and walked out into the dawn:   Crisp, swirly breeze, a touch of wood smoke, a crescent waning moon and dawn chorus.   Venus, three bright stars in an indigo sky.   Clouds.   Dawn light.   Fresh spring leaves on the copper beech.  A vegetable garden in need of time.

The photograph is the copper beech.
