Cut the country some slack and introduce national gardening leave | Andrew Simms | Environment | guardian.co.uk

This is an interesting piece about the need to build   resilience into our cities.  With just-in-time ordering systems most of us are only a day or two away from sever problems.  The basic issue comes from our businesses focusing on “efficiency” to the detriment of broader systems needs: redundancy and resilience.

Gardening and building community are steps to take that will help.

This piece is talking about Britain but we all need to consider this.
