This blog is my way of speaking out loud the beauty I find in science and art and emphasizing the importance both of these in living sustainably; as much as we can, in our consumption based economy.
To this end and for our own health and well-being; noticing and responding to our world is important. The exercise of observation and writing described as “small stones” is one way of doing this. Follow the link below to more information.
Yesterday morning I sat cross legged in front of the fire writing morning pages and this appeared – a small stone. I also photographed the fire.
“I am sitting in front of the fire. The heat on my back. The hiss and crack and ping. The roar. The snap. The pop. Thump. A perfect moment”.
Please go outside, breath deeply and sense the place.
